GIS analyst Sinéad O’Connor and client onboarding manager Corey O’Connor tied the knot on 25th October 2025 at Sneem Hotel in Kerry. Their relaxed autumn wedding brought family and friends together for a day filled with personal touches, mountain views, a timeless bridal look, and a rock-filled reception, captured by Emily Doran Photography.
Sinéad and Corey first met a year after finishing college, when a mutual friend encouraged Sinéad to join a gathering celebrating the end of her friends’ final college exams. Thinking the pair would hit it off, her friend introduced them, and they didn’t stop talking after that. Looking back, it's funny to think how many parties and events they had both attended over the years without ever crossing paths until that night!

Corey proposed at Muckross Abbey in Killarney, one of Sinéad's favourite places to visit when they returned home. Having bought their house just a few weeks earlier, she had no idea Corey was planning another big milestone. On a crisp November day, he suggested a walk around the Abbey, and as they wandered through the grounds, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. The location already held so many happy memories, making the moment even more meaningful. They celebrated afterwards with an overnight stay at The Lake Hotel, beautifully decorated for Christmas, for the cosiest end to a perfect engagement.

In the lead-up to the wedding, Sinéad kept her skincare routine simple and consistent. With dry, sensitive skin, she stuck to products she knew worked well, moisturising morning and night and relying on E45 Hydrating Serum to keep dry patches at bay. She also made a conscious effort to stay hydrated and get enough sleep rather than introducing lots of new products before the big day.

Fragrance was another special detail, with Sinéad choosing Cherry Stem by Phlur as her wedding-day scent. Hoping to find a sweet cherry fragrance, she was delighted when the brand released exactly what she wanted just a week or two before the wedding.

For her bridal look, Sinéad knew from the start she wanted something simple and timeless. After trying on several different styles, she kept returning to understated designs that felt most like her. She initially went dress shopping with her bridesmaids and mother, but when she visited the boutique on her own, she found the perfect gown. Karl at Memories helped her find a dress that felt elegant, understated and completely true to her personal style.

Corey opted for a classic tuxedo from Morleys. Having previously visited the store as a groomsman and enjoyed the experience, he knew it would be a reliable choice for his own wedding. The process was straightforward, and he was delighted with the fit on the day.

The bridal party included four bridesmaids: Sinéad's sister and three of her closest friends. Working with a pink-and-burgundy colour palette, Sinéad searched for the perfect mauve-pink shade for their dresses. With her bridesmaids based in Ireland and the UK, Azazie proved particularly practical, shipping the dresses directly to each person and fitting them to their measurements. The result was a beautifully coordinated bridal party, with everyone feeling comfortable and confident throughout the celebrations.

The couple held their ceremony indoors at Sneem Hotel, having kept a close eye on the unpredictable Kerry weather in the weeks before the wedding. Louise and her team, alongside florist Fiona, transformed the room beautifully, while the surrounding views of the mountains and water provided a stunning backdrop. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed from the moment guests arrived, setting the tone for a ceremony that felt entirely personal to the couple.

One standout moment came when Sinéad walked down the aisle to a string rendition of Metallica’s "Nothing Else Matters." It was the perfect choice for the pair, reflecting their shared love of rock music. Their celebrant, Pat, brought plenty of fun to the ceremony, while sharing a shot of mead together added another personal touch. Plenty of laughs throughout made the occasion feel less formal and more like a celebration of the couple and their relationship.

After the ceremony, Sinéad and Corey took a little time away from the celebrations to enjoy a quiet moment together. Louise brought them food and drinks, giving them a chance to soak it all in before returning to their guests. It was a small but meaningful pause in an otherwise busy day, allowing them to enjoy the excitement of being newly married.

Sneem Hotel had always been the couple’s first choice. After staying there a few years earlier, they fell in love with the welcoming staff, the food, the relaxed atmosphere, and the beautiful views. They wanted a place where guests could genuinely enjoy the weekend, with the mountains providing a spectacular backdrop for photos. From the start, the hotel ticked every box and offered the laid-back setting they envisioned.

For the evening celebrations, Corey discovered Kerry-based band Renovator while researching entertainment options. The couple wanted a lively mix of rock and pop, and after attending several of the band’s performances in Cork, they knew they had made the right choice. The band kept the dancefloor full until the DJ played the final song, and one of the couple’s favourite memories was seeing guests of all ages dance together.

Looking back, Sinéad and Corey agree that marrying each other and choosing a big wedding was worth every penny. Having all their favourite people together in one place made the day unforgettable, and they were delighted with how everything came together. They also shared a special thank you with Emily and Aodhgan, whose calming presence and thoughtful photography captured moments they might otherwise have missed.
