Spanning 567 acres of lush private parkland, the 15th-century Luttrellstown Castle is steeped in history and grandeur. Elegant and opulent, it was the perfect venue for the wedding of accountant Alexandra Brazil to Dr Dylan Browne on the 5th of September 2025. Captured by MDA Productions and styled by Wednesday Wedding Club, the day was a stylish celebration with classic black-tie details, beautiful florals, thoughtful personal touches, and plenty of fun along the way.
As all good modern love stories start, Alexandra & Dylan met just at the end of COVID after matching on a dating app, and their story grew from there!
"Dylan organised a trip to Ballyfin Demesne the day before Christmas Eve. He arranged a carriage ride and proposed in the tower on the grounds. It was perfect, especially as he knows Christmas is my favourite time of year. He then made the moment even more special by surprising me with my family, who joined us afterwards."
Alexandra started her beauty preparation about a year before the wedding. "I went to The Cosmetic Doctor in Dublin for a series of facial peels and microneedling treatments. I think this made a huge difference to my skin texture, which is so important for makeup. I found it really helpful to consult experts, as it allowed me to establish a skincare routine suited to my skin and focused on my specific concerns."
"I wore Poppy & Barley and Peony & Blush Suede by Jo Malone, which made a beautiful combination, and I still wear them now."
"I started looking almost straight away as I was very excited to find the dress. I started my search in Dublin, but I also went to London to try to find the dress. I ended up finding my dress in the White Ivy Bridal Boutique in Kerry. I decided to go to this shop in particular because they had the new Rosa Clará collection in store. We travelled down and had a lovely long weekend in Kenmare. I initially thought I would go for a very different style, but after looking at multiple variations of that style, I found it impossible to pick one. I always knew I wanted something timeless and elegant, and I found a lot of inspiration from Spanish brides. Ultimately, I completely changed what I was looking for! Once I did this, I fell in love with my dress very quickly."
"We went to Louis Copeland & Sons together to choose Dylan’s suit. He knew he wanted a classic tuxedo, and the team were very helpful and knowledgeable. They were also able to complete all the alterations in-house, which was so convenient in the lead-up to the wedding."
Alexandra's sister, Philippa, was her maid of honour, and her cousins Victoria and Charlotte were bridesmaids. "I wanted a small bridal party, and it was lovely that we had all grown up together. I love the look of a white bridal party. I found their dresses online on Miphai. It would have been lovely to have the full shopping experience, but I knew that the dresses were perfect, so I ordered them. Luckily, they all loved them!"
"We wanted quite a traditional wedding ceremony, so we didn’t make many changes, but we put a lot of thought into all our choices of readings and music. We held our ceremony at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Donnybrook, which was especially meaningful to me, as it was where I had received both my First Communion and Confirmation. As Dylan plays both piano and organ, the ceremony music was naturally very important to us. He is lucky to know some incredibly talented singers, who were delighted to be part of the day. Having a choir added so much to the atmosphere and made the ceremony feel especially meaningful."
The couple visited Luttrellstown Castle a couple of weeks after getting engaged. It was only the second venue they had seen, but Alexandra and Dylan immediately knew it was perfect. "We wanted somewhere that did not feel like a hotel, and Luttrellstown had exactly the atmosphere we were looking for. It is also just really beautiful! The team were excellent on the day, so we did not have to worry about a thing. Having the place entirely to ourselves also made it feel like one big party, which was so much fun."
"Dylan took the lead on the entertainment, and our main priority was making sure all our guests had a great time. When choosing the band, he wanted excellent musicians with a playlist that would appeal to all ages. We ended up choosing The Beat Club, who were fantastic on the night. We were delighted that everyone seemed to genuinely enjoy themselves. I think focusing on getting the band right really paid off."
"At first, I wanted to try to do as much as possible myself, but I’m so glad I changed my mind. Choosing experienced vendors meant Dylan and I could relax and enjoy the day. Having Emma from Wednesday Wedding Club, along with our other suppliers, meant everything was taken care of and we did not have to figure anything out on the day. We were also careful not to go overboard and try to cram too much into one day. I think that made it possible to mingle with our guests and enjoy our day."
"We decided to go on honeymoon two days after our wedding. In hindsight, it was a bit close. We left a lot of the packing until the last minute. I think a minimoon might have been less stressful."
