Ireland’s most magical address, Dromoland Castle is renowned for their Irish hospitality, rich history and delightful luxury all wrapped up in a truly bespoke experience. Bronte Jasinski married Neil Bermingham on the 12th of August 2023 and we're head over heels for each dreamy detail! Captured by Peter Carvill & planned by Perfect Details Ireland, we hope you love this wedding day as much as we do!

The couple met 6 weeks before Covid in 2020 on Bumble! They were fortunate to have met when they did as life started shutting down shortly thereafter, Bronte was working at the hospital in Waterford at the time which kept her very busy & Neil was isolated at his home in Cork. "We instantly clicked, however, knowing we had found the one from the day we started talking. We had crossed paths many times before & never knew! Everything was just easy once we found each other."

Neil proposed on a misty March day in Tramore Beach, one of their favourite places to take their cocker spaniel, Louis! They had picked out an antique ring a few weeks prior, & Neil had it in his pocket waiting for the right moment. With a few hiccups along the way on the day including a flat tyre & nearly losing the coat with the ring in the pocket, the perfect moment happened with Louis running circles around the two just as the sun started to shine.

Planning a wedding during the latter half of the pandemic was challenging as most vendors were booking up quickly with the post-pandemic brides. Bronte was very lucky to find her hair stylist, Niamh Tynan, who was going to be in the area the same weekend as the wedding. Not only did Niamh perfect the chignon that Bronte had dreamed of but she was a calming presence to Bronte on such a hectic day. Brefne Keogh was the makeup artist. "I knew I wanted to look like myself on the day & Bref made me feel like a brighter version of myself.  She did such a wonderful job with my bridesmaids too, & everyone was so happy with the way they looked on the day." The headpiece was from a Bespoke London Bridal shop called Dolecka Bridal. Bronte has always loved traditional Spanish brides & felt this beautiful piece was the perfect fit for her veil. Her signature scent for the wedding was The GUERLAIN Aqua Allegoria Flora Cherrysia.

Bronte had seen & tried on her Caroline Castigliano dress in an Irish boutique & knew she wanted to have a bespoke version of it. She had tried a variety of other styles, but the simple silhouette of this dress stood out to her the most as it had both a romantic & classic feel. Bronte & her mum went to their flagship store in Knightsbridge, London for a weekend away, & were able to meet the designer who perfected her vision! "I was even able to have detachable sleeves for a late-night look!"

Bronte was born in Ireland & grew up in the States. American weddings have anywhere from six to twelve bridesmaids whereas Irish weddings would traditionally have a maximum of three. She fit somewhere in the middle & had five on the day. As an only child, Bronte has an incredibly close bond with her cousins who are a year older & younger. She knew they had to be a part of the wedding & her older cousin joined as a groomsman. Two of Bronte's close childhood friends from the States were also able to be a part of the big day, they are both married so their help was invaluable! The maid of honour was Bronte's best friend from medical school, Sarah. The two have been inseparable since move-in day at college! "Having 5 girls with different heights & different hair & skin tones, I knew we needed a dress that would be flattering & most importantly, comfortable, for everyone. My bridesmaid, Meg, & I were able to find the perfect Jenny Yoo dress in Washington DC, that had a square neckline & was a gorgeous, soft satin in the colour ‘Latte’."

Bronte & Neil had a traditional Catholic ceremony in the Cathedral of Saints Peter & Paul in Ennis County Clare. Bronte moved around a lot as a child as her father was in the United States Air Force, & her Summers & Christmases in Ireland were always a familiar constant. One part of this childhood was the parish priest, Father Tom. The couple were lucky enough for Father Tom to be able to marry them & symbolically married her childhood & past into her future with Neil. "His warmth & familiarity brought a sense of calmness & excitement during the ceremony."

Bronte & Neil always knew they wanted to get married in Dromoland, as it’s a very special place for their families. Bronte's family home is on the estate, & the two were lucky enough to spend time there together over the past few years for needed weekend escapes & reunions during COVID-19 times. The two knew they wanted to share this beautiful place with their close family & friends so it was a dream to be able to host the reception there. "We were able to have family portraits in the beautiful walled garden & have fireworks over the lake for our guests in the evening."

Dan is the resident florist for Dromoland so the couple chose the man who knows Dromoland best!  It was important for them to reuse the flowers from the ceremony for the reception, & then be able to transport these home with family to gift them to loved ones who have been laid to rest. Bronte's bouquet was made from peonies, sweet peas, roses, & lilies of the valley. "They also included a little myrtle from my aunt's garden in the bouquet. It has been traditionally included in royal wedding bouquets since Queen Victoria’s time & has been included in our family bouquets for the last few generations too!"

The Capriccio String Quartet played at the wedding & cocktail hour. They were accompanied by Eve Stafford who was angelic during the ceremony. For the band, Bronte & Neil chose Spring Break Official. They came highly recommended, & are a very interactive band. "This was so important as I would be the kind of host to worry & ensure everyone was dancing & enjoying themselves. I knew that they would take care of that completely for me & guarantee everyone up dancing, they did not disappoint! Couldn’t recommend them more." The couple also chose to play a clip of Bronte's father & her dancing when she was small as an intro to the father-daughter dance. "When I was 3, I would get dressed up every evening, waiting for my dad to come home from work so he could dance The Laendler" from "The Sound of Music” with me. I am an only child, & this was such a special moment that I know my dad had been waiting for since those days when we would dance together."

About the best decision, Bronte said, "The best decision was to arrange an on-the-day coordinator. We were lucky enough to have Roisin from Kate Deegan’s team with us. Roisin took care of everything from phone calls between vendors & scheduling on the day, to making sure we remembered to eat & drink enough. All of our vendors were wonderful & were the best of the best at their roles, but having her there in our corner to keep us going & keep us present on the big day allowed us to enjoy every single moment. We also wanted to give a special shout-out to our designer Kelsey who curated our wedding invitation set. Kelsey hand-painted the watercolour of Dromoland castle from a photograph that I took of the castle years ago. She designed the most beautiful invitation suite, with outer envelopes in rich forest green & gold pressed foil invitation cards. Truly brought our vision to life."
