One of Dublin's most beautiful 18th-century buildings, City Hall, originally the Royal Exchange, has hosted countless couples who have married under the grand rotunda. A pinnacle of Irish history and architecture, it was the beautiful ceremony venue for the wedding of business analyst Amy Campbell to mortgage manager Cormac Nugent on Saturday, the 1st of March 2025. Captured by Love it Visuals, we're obsessed with every single perfectly pink detail in this city celebration!
The couple met through work, both working in Financial Services, and ended up on the same team in 2017. The romance started later that year at the Christmas Party, and almost nine years later, here we are!

"Cormac was warned for a long time that if he proposed to me and my nails weren't done, the answer would be No. With that in mind, he very thoughtfully set up our bedroom, with tonnes of candles (almost burned the house down), balloons and rose petals on the bed spelling out 'Marry Me Amy', all while I was at my nail appointment. He definitely earned some brownie points for that!"

Amy had her beauty trials with makeup artist Ruth Bergin & hair stylist Lou Merryweather a few months before the wedding. "They both hit the nail on the head with what I had in mind for my hair and makeup, and they made the morning getting ready so enjoyable, too."

Scent-wise, Cormac wore the ever-classic Creed Aventus (featuring notes of pineapple and a refined, smoky edge), and Amy wore Pivoine Suzhou by Armani Prive (An elegant, light, rose-focused perfume with notes of raspberry and amber).

"I really went in not knowing what I wanted or expected. I only visited 2 shops and trying on so many different styles really helped me figure out what I wanted. The dress I ended up picking combined so many aspects of other dresses I loved, so it was an easy choice! My bridesmaids & my Mam came with me to both appointments, so it was good to have their opinions as they knew what I liked. I chose the Beau dress by Jenny Yoo in Folkster Kilkenny."

Amy's four bridesmaids were her friends Shianne, Eva & Charlotte, and her now-sister-in-law Aebhin. The group had a gorgeous day out in Folkster South William St, joined by Amy's mum and mother-in-law. The girls tried on the different styles and colours of gowns, and eventually landed on the Austen style in the shade Marsala.

"The ceremony was like a dream; our celebrant (Ruth Scott) captured it exactly the way we wanted it to. We wanted it to feel special but also fun. The best part was definitely being reunited with each other. We had both been so nervous the morning of, and all our nerves washed away the moment we sat together looking out at our gorgeous wedding party!"

The pair were inspired to choose City Hall as their venue after attending the wedding of Amy's maid of honour, Shianne. "We were engaged at the time, but we hadn't started looking at venues, and I just knew then it had to be City Hall. The Dublin City backdrop, once the doors open and you're walking down the aisle, is just amazing."

"We picked Lawlors hotel in Naas for our reception, I just loved it here as it felt like you were somewhere else as soon as you stepped in the door, it also meant we could have the whole 3 days of celebrations in one location. We had drinks in the pub next door the night before, and we had our Day 2 in Lawlors pub ‘The Random Inn’, which made you feel like you were in a pub in the middle of Temple Bar."

"We had Bohemian Strings for our ceremony music as we thought it fit the City Hall vibe perfectly. For our drinks reception, we hired One Fine Day after seeing them at a friend's wedding and loving them, so we booked them for our day. Finally, we had DJ & Sax for music after our meal, and they were brilliant and had us dancing all the way into the early hours of the morning."

"Our best decision hands down was our photographer & videographer, Love it Visuals. Ana & Brendan captured the day so perfectly. We just celebrated our 1-year anniversary last weekend and watched the videos back, and they really captured the vibe of the whole day. I cannot recommend them enough!"

"Our worst decision was probably booking a vendor and paying in full for entertainment on the night, only for them to never show up. The silver lining was that I didn't even realise it on the day, which just shows there's no need for all the expensive extras. The day turned out absolutely perfect without it!"
