Analyst Amelia O’Connell tied the knot with Marketing Manager Sam Dennigan at Castle Leslie Estate last September. The couple had a spiritualist ceremony, which was both personal and romantic for them. "We first met at a ball which I was slightly reluctant in going to but a great friend and future bridesmaid persuaded me. It was there I met the inimitable Sam Dennigan. For the proposal, Sam surprised Amelia on Christmas morning in her family home. "I’m extremely close with my family and Sam knew that wherever he proposed, I’d immediately want to be with them to share the news. Plus they know how to celebrate!" Amelia didn't know the designer of her dress but she bought it in Memories Bridal Boutique in Temple Bar, with a few of her own alterations.
The wedding was held at Castle Leslie Estate, and it was the first and only venue the couple looked at. Amelia said, "Upon reflection the calibre of the staff really made the difference to the day. They were so helpful and very accommodating." For the wedding entertainment, Amelia and Sam had Spring Break and Booka Brass Band. Amelia said, "The entertainment was unparalleled and one of the highlights for me. Everyone was up dancing for both bands; I’ve never had so much fun!"
