Vera Wang is often considered to be one of the most prestigious and icon bridal fashion houses to date, and for very good reason! A month ago, she staged an anniversary show during New York Fashion Week, and recently she debuted her 60th bridal collection in her Madison Square Park studio.
Against expectations, the collection contains mostly white garments (An almost alternative choice considering her previous penchant for pastels and nudes) accented by black headpieces, lettering and boots. The mix of grungy, dark and dishevelled styling with the soft white tulle, satins and silks and classic bridal silhouettes feels like the perfect marriage between the original, traditionally bridal stylings of Vera Wang and her newer, more artistic and alternative design directions.
This season and last seasons are tied together by the carefree and spontaneous-looking constructions masterfully created in the Vera Wang studios. Don't let the relaxed styles fool you, each minute detail on a handing strap or asymmetrical hem was a carefully thought-out labour of love!
