It's the time of year we've all been waiting for (or at least I have), Bridal Fashion Week has just ended and now it's time to look back at all of the beautiful collections that graced the runway. We're bringing you the top trends from Fall Bridal Fashion Week 2020!

1/ Statement Sleeves

Ornate sleeves were a standout staple across various Fall collections this year and for very good reason. It's an incredibly versatile aspect of a dress; who knew that adding embellishments to two tubed of fabric could so drastically change the appearance of a garment!

The best thing about a statement sleeve is that it doesn't have a style limit. If the garment is a recreation of something you might see on Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With the Wind (see Viktor & Rolf Mariage above) or a high fashion showstopper (see Vera Wang below) then a statement sleeve can do the lions share of work pulling the look together!

2/ Pink

Something old, something new, something borrowed and something pink? Blush has been making waves in the bridal fashion industry in recent years, with famous brides like Portia de Rossi and  Beatrice Borromeo walking down the aisle in the colour. However, in 2020 designers are pushing further down the colour wheel to more vibrant and in your face shades of pink.

A white wedding dress is a Christian tradition; if you're not necessarily the most traditional bride then why not show off your personality a little by getting married in pink?

This trend was popular in spring runways and there's no wonder why. From ornate to delicate, this versatile accessory is the perfect crown to match a low maintenance bridal hairdo!

4/ Shoulders

Legs are so last season! Fall 2020 collections seemed to have honed in on a rather underappreciated part of the body and that's shoulders! From cold shoulders, to boat necks, to seductively dropped straps; this year forget a chip on your shoulder, we're not putting a darned thing on them!

A dropped shoulder dress is a fantastic way to elongate your neck, you may feel the need to throw on a necklace or big earrings to make the space feel less bare but we would recommend dusting highlighter over your collarbones and letting them do the work!

5/ Nature

Flowers will always be a staple in bridal fashion, instead of fighting it fall 2020 sees the embracing of bigger, brighter and more delicate flower accents! Be prepared to look like a sexy set of nana's curtains if you're walking down the aisle next year!

Painted florals took centre stage across various designers from Monique Lhuillier to Ines di Santo, a different approach to the usually popular lace flowers and nature.

6/ Ruffles

In the trend of resurging vintage fashion, we saw a plethora of ruffled dresses walking the catwalk this Bridal Fashion Week! Throw out your wedding Spanx for a ruffled dress! The texture they add to a garment is the perfect cover from a wedding cake induced food baby!

Perfect for a shorter bride, ruffles add a dimension to the dress that elongates the leg and accentuates a higher waist giving the appearance of a taller bride.

7/ Trousers

In 2020 the bride is wearing the trousers in the relationship! Bridal pantsuits, jumpsuits and co-ords are nothing new, but Fall 2020 marks the season they become mainstream and not just on the runway!

Not every bride is a dress loving girl! Instead of spending an arm and a leg on something that you don't even like all that much then why not look into a bridal trouser suit! It's the perfect way to feel beautiful and glamorous on your big day while still feeling like yourself!
