Of course, aside from having your wedding album, framing some of your wedding photographs is an obvious choice. But you don’t want to frame too many and risk your house looking like a shrine to your wedding. But you spent all that money on your photographer and you have so many beautiful photos! So what else can you do with them? We have some ideas.

Thank you card photos

Thank you cards

One of the most popular options for couples is to use a nice photograph or two as the thank you cards they send out to all their guests. It gives their guests a chance to see a really beautiful professional photograph from the wedding while receiving their thanks from you both. You should also hold one back for your own little keepsake drawer, not that we condone hoarding or anything.

Coaster photos

These are a cute way to have wedding photos in your house without being too in your face. You can make personalised coasters with plenty of online printing companies, including Photobox. This is a particularly good way to show off photographs of the little details from your special day, because let’s be honest, with such limited wall space, as nice as your centrepieces are, you probably won’t be hanging up a photo of them on their own. But it might make a lovely coaster the next time you have guests over.

Special gifts

Your dad might appreciate a particularly nice framed picture of him walking you up the aisle. Your new mother-in-law would love a small album of her side of the family. It’s lovely to have wedding photos of all your friends and family, but some of them might appreciate the photos even more than you, and while you can’t and probably don’t want to give them all pride of place in your own house, they might love that. Just don’t force all your friends and family to accept a photo of the two of you in lieu of gifts that Christmas. It probably won’t go down as well.

Credit card

Are you with Permanent TSB? Then you can personalise your credit card with a lovely photo of you and your new partner-in-crime from your wedding day! It’s a lovely way to always keep them close to you, with a reinvention of keeping a photo of them in your wallet! Check out Permanent TSB for more information on personalising your bank card. Alternatively, instead of keeping them in your wallet, you can keep them on your keys with a photo key ring from your special day.

Christmas ornament

A personalised Christmas ornament with a wedding photograph is a lovely idea to bring out every year. It’s another way to remember your wedding in a special way every year, that’s separate from your anniversary. It’s also a good way to bring an extra photo into your home at Christmas time without having to put it up in a permanent frame. We love these ones from Etsy.

Calendar

This is a particularly good way to display a few different photos without having to put them all in frames all over the house. It’s particularly good for the first year after your wedding. Snapfish have plenty of options for making calendars and just because there’s only 12 months in the year, doesn’t mean you can’t use more than one photo for each month!
