Okay, we know this isn’t how the gifts work. You get married and you invite guests and they give you presents, not the other way around. But in ways, you give guests presents in many different ways on your wedding day. When you decide on Champagne on arrival or an after dinner drink, a dessert table, or having anything complimentary, you are giving your guests little gifts. It's a good way to say thank you for coming and sharing in your special day. We have some tips to help decide what you might like to do for your guests, and might help you keep track of what you want to spend your budget on so you don’t go overboard.
Kits and baskets
Whether it's a welcome hamper for their arrival or a hangover kit to aid their departure, there are a number of kits or baskets you can make up to make your guests feel a little extra special at your wedding. Don't forget those all important bathroom baskets with deodorant, hairspray, plasters, make-up wipes and other little necessities to help your guests celebrate with you all night long.
Sweets, treats and decadent drinks
There are a number of delectable treats you can give your guests as extra touches. Mini baked goods are a lovely addition to your canapés or even as an extra treat long after the desert is gone. Why not give your guests the gift of your own personalised cocktail to really make your wedding unique?
Favours and keepsakes
If you don't want to overload your guests with too many different things to keep track of on the day, you can always send them on their way with a nice keepsake as a gift. This is the best way for them to remember your special day and it can be anything from homemade pots of jam, to personalised packets of sweets. Let your creativity run wild.
