The weather's getting cooler, but don't worry, the new winter issue of S&P Weddings is on its way! Before it hits the shops, we thought we'd share one of our favourite parts, our bridal shoot. I has some of the most beautiful boho looks and breath-taking gowns, including some of Ireland’s own stunning designs.

In our latest cover shoot, we showcased a selection of gorgeous bridal gowns against the incredible rolling grounds of Huntington Castle in , using beautiful flowers from Carlow Florist & Joeanna Caffrey Flowers. Our stylist, Roxanne Parker talked us through her choices for the shoot.

"For the shoot I wanted to capture the spirit of a bohemian, free-spirited bride; the kind of woman who would be as happy dancing at dusk barefoot across the lawn of a heritage property like Huntington Castle, as she would be singing around a beach campfire in Ibiza playing her guitar. The flowers were chosen to be hand-tied to reflect the nature-loving spirit of this bride."

"Shoes were kicked off and replaced with flower garland anklets. The beachy, tumbling waves in the hair were complemented with statement flower crowns - Alice Haliday's wonderful faux flower designs look so real but won't wilt as the day goes on. Meanwhile, the head garlands designed by Carlow Florist from twigs, moss and robust small daisies lasted wonderfully, didn't bruise and smelled divine."

"The dresses I chose focused on design details such as lace panels, buttermilk & blush tones and mix & match of separates so more daring brides can create a totally original look by combining a floor-skimming, silk skirt with a crop top that flashes a toned, bronzed mid-drift."

"Some of the dresses I choose were also made from vintage lace making them totally original just like this kind of bride. This boho bride dances to the beat of her own drum so I created an individual look by layering natural stone vintage jewellery from Rhinestone mixing Native American turquoise & silver pieces, with carved cameo rings crafted in Italy mixed in with rough hewn amethyst & quartz crystal pieces from Roxluna. Delicate gold toned nature inspired necklaces from Chupi looked dreamy & original when layers together with vintage stone pieces. Forgoing the usual diamond & pearls bridal jewellery in favour of something strong and highly personalised added a touch of rock 'n' roll rebellion to the wedding dresses like super model Stephaine Seymour walking down the ailse in the iconic Guns 'N' Roses video for September Rain."
