Not your usual bridal dresses, Theia’s recent Spring 2017 collection is innovative and daring. On a journey to the future, this collection was inspired by a silvered pool of light through which a chiffon-clad figure had fallen.  Despite the futuristic vibes, Theia's style director, Don O'Neill manipulated traditional fabric such as chiffon and tulle to create the collection.

Elaborate embellishment and strong silhouettes are prominent throughout the Spring 2017 collection. Fusing tradition with contemporary designs, Theia had everyone talking about the unconventional gowns.

Romantically simplistic, the light chiffon fabric elegantly glides as you move. The halter neck detailing and silhouette accentuates the bride's figure, with a simplistic flowing A-line gown to a trumpet silhouette, Theia offers brides a diverse range.

For the modern bride looking to push boundaries, Theia’s floor-length, figure form illusion gown would be perfect. The doused embroidery is daring as it oozes sensual details and the strong silhouette accentuates and emphasises the female form.

One of our favourites is this delicately detailed dress, which is exquisitely embroidered with high quality beading. The high-low hemline joins traditional glamour with fashion forwardness, meeting in the middle for brides who are looking for something unusual and daring.

Theia demonstrates his futuristic inspiration as he incorporated metallic fabrics with the crisp, white gown. The sheath silhouette accentuates the bride’s figures, an elegant yet contemporary piece.

Designing a range of silhouettes, Theia offers a versatile collection as this ball gown focuses towards the traditional style. Although, the journey to the future is still occurring as Theia joins the past with futuristic ideas to manipulate fabrics creating a show-stopping gown. The fitted PVC peplum bodice creates a strong silhouette within itself as the waist accentuates and the plunging neckline is daring. The larger ball room skirt creates drama and adds to the bold design.

Two of our favourite pieces have to be the elegant embroidered dresses. The sequined gowns are stylishly beautiful as the figure form silhouettes add to the wow factor.  With varying necklines, Don O'Neill has considered all brides when designing these show-stopping dresses.

Finally, this ball gown was a real show stopper. The pattern organza is mesmerising and it is embroidered with metallic thread. Giving a sense of romance and love this gown captures Theia’s inspiration and also the traditional bridal silhouette.
